Sea Sun Kayak is owned and operated by Rob Girard & John Hartling, and their team of experienced staff members.
The first kayaking company in Halifax, Sea Sun started off small and has considerably grown over the last 13 years. Today, Sea Sun has developed largely by word of mouth as one of the most experienced sea kayaking companies in the region...with some of the friendliest staff!.
We are located in scenic & historical St.Margaret's Bay- a twenty-five minute drive from Metro. In addition to our extensive kayak operations, we also now offer Peggy's Cove Hiking Packages for groups to allow everyone to see the history and world famous beauty of this bountiful area.
Sea Sun's kayak guides are largely "lifers", or long term natives of Halifax, (except for the odd summer student), and each is carefully selected for their cheerful attitude and paddling skills. You will soon discover that each guide brings a new element to every sea kayaking trip.
Sea Sun has a year-round Manager at the other end of the email and telephone to answer all your questions. We want to ensure that every trip is prepared right down to the finest details, like your shoe size and whether you drink coffee or tea!
