Sea Sun's overnight trips run from early June to late October. All tours end at our beautiful waterfront location where a restaurant, picnic tables, hammocks, shower and laundry facilities await your return to reality! Be sure to take advantage of our waterside restaurant/bar before heading home!

Your Island Oasis has arrived...escape the hustle and bustle for a 24 hour get-away. Bring your partner, friends or family along for a guided kayak tour and paddle out to a secluded uninhabited island for an overnight campout under the stars. No experience necessary!
Upon arrival at Sea Sun your guide will help pack the kayaks with the essentials and give you a give a basic kayak lesson. You’ll then head out for a tour of the area and paddle to your island campsite where you’ll relax and enjoy a beautiful evening around the fire. The next morning have breakfast, pack up, and paddle back to Sea Sun by 11am.

Our 2 day Indian Islands Adventure snakes in and out of the myriad of islands, bays, and channels that characterize this exciting world famous coastline of the Peggy’s Cove and Saint Margaret’s Bay area.
Your route will take you to the scenic lagoon enshrouded islands known as the Indian Islands, the coastal region near Peggy's Cove. Whether you choose to explore wilderness, watch for whales, seals, and porpoises, or simply enjoy the tranquility of a quiet island beach you will experience some of the finest scenery Nova Scotia has to offer.
At tours end, you arrive at the shores of our coastal facilities where showers, indoor washrooms, laundry facilities, picnic tables and a shaded hammock await your return to reality.

Our 3 day Whale Route Adventure travels along a migratory whale route where whales, porpoises, seals, and more many marine mammals inhabit. The extended duration of this tour allows paddlers the best possible chance to view some or all of these magnifcant creatures with early mornings and eveings some of the best sighting times. Journey into the amazing coastal areas and islands that characterize the St. Maragret's Bay and the Peggy's Cove area. You'll camp on serene isolated islands and paddle some of the finest scenery Nova Scotia has to offer. Our route starts and ends at Sea Sun (note: Route may vary depending on weather and sea conditions).
Watch for: porpoises, seals, bald eagles, sea birds & ocean sunfish, also known as the Mola Mola.
All equipment, food, and an experienced guide are provided for you. Three days allows this tour to be conducted at a relaxed pace allowing for exploration of the more scenic spots along this mesmerizing coastline. Of course, at tour's end you will arrive at our beautiful waterfront location where a restaurant, picnic tables, hammocks and shower facilities await your return to reality.

What to wear and bring along on an overnight trip
- Footwear: Sturdy footwear that you don't mind getting wet such as teva sandals, Keens, old pair of sneakers; aquasocks or neoprene booties are also beneficial, wool socks
- Other Clothing: Short sleeved shirt, long sleeved shirt (for sun protection), shorts/pants, wicking top and warm undergarments, 'breathable' rain jacket & pants, gloves, fleece pants and top (fabrics should be synthetic "quick drying" fabrics, cotton and denum should be avoided)
- Other must-haves: Sun hat, swim suit, sunglasses, sunscreen, headlamp or flashlight, toiletries & hygiene kit, insect repellent, required medications, watch or alarm clock
- Other item suggested: Binoculars, camera & film, notebook & pencil, book, deck of cards, fishing gear, GPS
Sea Sun Kayak provides guides, kayaks, kayak equipment (including spray skirts and PFDs) first aid kit, VHF radios or cell phones, dry bags, all food and kitchen kits, dishes, utensils, tents, sleeping bags (with liners) and sleeping pads. |
