This course was designed by Sea Sun for beginner to intermediate paddlers who wish to learn how to rescue themselves or others in the event of capsize. This is a great clinic for those who are relatively new to sea kayaking and also for those who have been paddling for years.
Topics practised are: paddle float rescue, cowboy rescue, t-rescue, contact tows, sling rescues and assisted rescues practised as both victim & rescuer. Also covered are wet-exits, methods of bailing a kayak, safety, rescue-equipment discussions, and towing techniques. Wet suits are required. Clinic takes place during summer months at Sea Sun. |

Wanna be cool? (In more ways than one!). Learn the Kayak roll. There's no better way to chill out, impress your fellow paddlers or utilize your kayak's dynamic performance abilities than with a roll.
This clinic designed by Sea Sun is a step by step process of learning to roll a kayak. Designed for those paddlers who are new or experienced at sea kayaking, but wish to know what to do in the event of a capsize and a quick recovery from the water. There are 2 classes per session, each 2 hours long. |
